Welcome to Bordercon

Get ready for the best four days of social gaming on your tabletop calendar!

BorderCon is a tabletop gaming event for the Australian gaming community - a gaming escape away from home, a chance to make new friends across a table and to meet them again and again over the years. Our event represents 4 days and 60+ hours of gaming heaven.

With that length of time it is perfect to play those longer games or a series of classics that rarely get a chance other times of the year. BorderCon is the perfect chance to create gaming memories that will stay with you year after year! BorderCon has almost no fixed schedule of events and no tournaments. It is designed to be free form so you can make it what you want it to be!

Some gamers prepare in advance with friends to set-up games they’ve wanted to play for years, others prefer to let the games and other gamers find them and see what surprises await. The choice is yours.

Four Days of Gaming!

In 2024, BorderCon runs from Friday the 7th until Monday the 10th. Doors open on the Friday at 9am and close at 6pm on the Monday.

The Large gaming room is open until midnight each and every night. The smaller gaming room (Holds 60 comfortably) remains open throughout the event so night owls can game into the wee hours.

1000's of Games to Play!

Attendees are invited to bring a crate or bag of games they hope to play, so there are thousands of games at the venue ranging from the classics to the latest hotness!

We do ask attendees to limit what they bring into the gaming rooms to 1 storage unit as there is limited shelving to store them on. If you bring more than one box or bag of games we ask that you keep additional items in your room or car. In many cases our awesome attendees are happy for you to borrow one of their games but please check to see if there is a notice on the top of their box\bag that lists any conditions they may have.

You can also attend and bring no games of your own as our onsite retailer - Looking for Gamers - also sets up a public games library for anyone to borrow over the weeekend. Even better, Charles loves nothing more than to teach games and meet new people, so seek him out.
