1. No cheating.
2. Please wear your supplied name badge at all times.
3. Avoid open drinks on the table.
4. Play respectfully with others and make new players feel welcome.
5. If someone doesn’t know how to play your game, please teach them.
6. Please do not ‘table reserve’ by setting up a game then leaving for an extended time. If you are not yet ready to play please leave the table free so someone else can game there instead.
7. If there is a shortage of tables, try to contain your game to one end of the table so another game can be set up on the same table.
8. Treat the games and components with respect. Please return any games you borrow in the condition you found them. Consider how the components were bagged or stored and attempt to pack the game away in the same manner.
9. Always check the floor for dropped pieces when packing your game up.
10. Please put your rubbish in the bin. If the bin is full please notify an event organiser.

When completing your registration, please make sure to put in your correct name and email address should we need to contact you in the future.

Tickets to BorderCon are offered via an initial invitation to long standing members of the BorderCon community. A Public Ticket Offer is then launched a few weeks later. Each year we have anywhere from 150-180 attendees..

A. Unfortunately there is not enough space for walk-in attendees and we require all tickets to be pre-booked.

A. We are open to all ages, though please note that children are expected to be under the full supervision of an adult at all times.

A. We will honour refund requests until the day before the event. If you require a refund please contact us including the details of the ticket you need refunded.

A. No, you are not required to have a room at the venue (though many prefer to to maximise their gaming and for the convenience). You can contact our venue directly (02 6042 3900) to enquire about room availability. Other contact details are available on our Location Page.

A. Yes and we encourage it. Please contact us and we can update your information for you.

A. Not necessarily printed, but we do require you to have your ticket details with you when you arrive. This can be in the form of a printed ticket, saved email, screenshot on your smartphone etc.

A. Our onsite vendor, Looking for Gamers, will have a small games library consisting of a mix of classic games and the current hotness. Many attendees bring their own games and are happy for them to be borrowed.

A. Shelving will be provided at the event for attendees to use. Please note that we only encourage use of the provided shelves if you intend to allow your games to be borrowed, otherwise we ask that attendees keep their games in their rooms / cars to allow others to use the shelf space.

A. Our shelving units have 5 shelves each, with each shelf being 30cm high, 35cm deep and 95cm wide (example). We recommend bringing your games in a storage container (eg. bag, box, plastic tub) that can fit directly onto the shelves to save you the trouble of unpacking them - a standard 30 litre plastic tub should fit (though double-check your measurements).

A. We have label sheets for attendees available here (A5 size) which can be printed out and attached to your games collection. With these sheets you can specify whether you are happy for your games to be freely borrowed or if you'd rather be contacted first. We also recommend having your details written somewhere inside each game you bring to identify yourself as the owner. Historically we have had very few games go missing.

A. Food and drinks can be purchased at the bar located between the 2 function rooms. In addition you can order food from the restaurant downstairs. There will also be a snack table selling snacks (chips, lollies, fruit etc) in the top corner of the main function room. Please note that the snack table handles cash only.

A. We don't mind basic food and\or drink items (such as fruit, chocolate, bottled water etc) being brought into the venue. However takeaway food purchased outside is not permitted.

We would appreciate attendees supporting the host venue where possible.

A. BYO alcohol is not allowed. Only alcohol purchased onsite from the bar or restaurant is permitted.

A. In addition to the onsite bar and restaurant, our venue is only a couple of blocks away from the centre of Albury where a broad range of eating options can be found.

A. There is no ATM on premises, the closest being located at the nearby BP service station a block away.

BorderCon now has a Square Device that can be accessed for digital payments for the snack table and the purchasing of Charity Raffle Tickets.

A. There will be a ‘Lost & Found’ box located at the snack table in the main function room. In addition if you happen to find someone else's items please also bring them to this location.

A. BorderCon can be found on BoardGameGeek, Facebook, and We recommend subscribing to us on one of these platforms so you can stay up-to-date with future news and announcements.

A. Virtual Flea Market is run entirely online via BoardGameGeek.com, where people can post games for sale via a variety of methods (fixed price, auction, etc) just like a regular flea market. Any games sold are then brought to BorderCon to be exchanged between the buyer and seller at the event (or someone on their behalf).

It represents an easy way for people to move games without the hassle of bringing all their collection to the event and for others that are interested in acquiring a game second-hand without having to worry about postage.
